Jimmy caught this beautiful walleye, while I was in Minnesota. He has been so busy w/ school and work that he has not been able to fish as much as he likes. He said this fish was just 2 inch sort of Lake St. Clair record. I believe the fish was 27 in. and 12 lbs. Jimmy is one happy fisherman in here....lolFriday, August 1, 2008

the Star of RoanokeJim always has a week off in July for a "changeover" at his plant.....we were planning on going to Paris to visit w/ Cindy but we couldn't find any tickets under $1400 each so we decided we will try next year. Since we had a week off we drove Jim's mother to visit her daughter in Roanoke, Va. We had a very relaxing and scenic drive to Virginia. We were very surprise at how much Roanoke offered...it's a cute city in beautiful Blue Ridge MT. Jim and I went in a cavern tour, shopped at the oldest farmer's market in US, visit the famous STAR of Roanoke, drive the scenic Blue Ridge Pkwy, and had a wonderful visit w/ Chris and Chuck.

The next day, Jim and I were invited to the Irish Hills from Karen to spend sometime on their parent's lakehouse. We had a great time.... we went boating, took the dog for a walk, watch fireworks over the campfire, and wet our feet and the dog on the beach. On our way back home we stopped by our friend's house in Brooklyn for a quick visit and than met up w/ David and Kelly in Ann Arbor for lunch, after lunch we head up to Chesterfield to check out Kevin and Jen's new house. There was a lot of driving but we had a great weekend and it's was fun visiting so many friends and family. Happy Fourth of July!!!

Jim and I front of Bear LakeThis year, we had our big Dosdall Family reunion at Bear Lake Utah..... It's an ideal location with an environment that was very accommodating to an enormous family. I believe there was about 63 of us from 8 different states attending. We had an amazing time, because it's so much fun hanging out with the coolest family in the world...lol. Everyday was full of activities such as Olympics, volleyball, family clues, miniature golfing, American idol remake, jet skiing, Mike and Steven's picture stories and etc... there was never a dull moment or very much sleep. I'm so glad Jim and I were able to attend and we are looking forward to our next one.

She is one of my oldest friend from GI and I'm very happy to able to spent some time w/ her on the fourth of July. It was a short visit but hopefully Jim and I can visit her In Hawaii ....hint,hint :)

our hotel....Stafford Perry HotelJim and I went up north courtesy of Bluegreen Resorts.... I often forget how beautiful upper Michigan is, until I arrive there and am reminded of the breath taking scenery. We drove up to the most north-western section of the lower peninsula, which is Petoskey. We stayed at the famous old Victorian hotel called Stafford Perry Hotel, and spent our days shopping at the quaint shops on Main Street, and hit the casino at night and never missed the million dollar sunsets that took place here. We also had some time to visit very wealthy Harbor Springs and did a quick drive-by tour of the beautiful houses along the bay. On our way home, we drove up to Mackinac City and took the ferry across Mackinac Island, where we took a horse carriage tour of the entire island. After the tour, we briefly shopped in the downtown area of Mackinac island and sampled the famous fudge produced here. After leaving the island by ferry, with only a pound of fudge; we proceeded to drive toward home. The next stop will be in Frankenmuth to receive my free birthday dinner offered at Zehnders. After dinner, we walked off some calories before the drive home to see our pretty girl, Asia.
